How to Provide Feedback

You have the right to present your compliments, concerns, suggestions, and complaints if you are unsatisfied with IRC services. To submit feedback:

  1. Talk to the relevant staff member about your feedback. Please note that you may experience a delayed response, as the IRC utilizes a triage system. Allow staff a minimum of 3 workdays to respond to your message or return your call. For staff to respond in a timely manner, it is critical that you leave a voice message or send a text message with your name and what you need assistance with.  Please be aware that staff do not respond to messages or calls on weekends or after 5 pm on weekdays.
  2. If you would like your concern escalated to a supervisor and/or manager, please let a staff member know. The staff will tell the supervisor/manager that you would like to be contacted to share a concern.
  3. If you have general feedback, would like to be kept anonymous, or require assistance with submitting feedback, email [email protected]
  4. If you are not satisfied with IRC Denver’s response, you may contact:
    1. IRC Headquarters: [email protected]
    2. Colorado Refugee Services Program (CRSP): 303-863-8211 or [email protected]
    3. The United States Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) at https://www.acf.hhs.gov/orr/programs/refugees/concerns-about-orr-services

If you or someone you know have been discriminated against, harassed, exploited, or abused by an IRC employee, intern, volunteer, or a partner organization:

  • Tell a trusted employee to report the incident, or
  • Report the Incident to the IRC Ethics Hotline: +1 (866) 654-6461

You will hear a recorded greeting asking you to wait for assistance. An Intake Specialist will then come on the line. You may then ask for an Interpreter to assist you in making the report.

Client Advisory Council (CAC)

The Client Advisory Council (CAC) is a group of clients that have been selected to provide feedback on IRC services/programs, advocate for changes that would benefit all clients, and influence IRC leadership on key decisions. Additionally, the CAC leads its own projects that address issues or needs amongst IRC clients.

The CAC is made up of two sub-committees, one for women and one for men. In 2023, the CAC had 15 members (8 women, 7 men) from 8 countries, including Uganda, Afghanistan, Cuba, Guatemala, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The CAC speaks 5 languages and includes clients who arrived from 2017 to 2022.

Would you like to join the CAC? We release the application once a year through SMS/Text. Our next application cycle will be open June 2024.
