What to Bring to Denver

As you plan for your travel, here is more information about what to pack.

Luggage

  • 2 checked bags per person  
  • 1 carry-on bag and 1 personal item per person  
  • You can pay for extra checked bags if you would like to bring items with you 

Clothing

  • Winter months can get very cold with lots of snow with temperatures averaging below 0 degrees Celsius
  • Summer months can be very hot with temperatures averaging above 28 degrees Celsius
  • Do not worry if you are not able to bring many clothes. IRC will connect you to local organizations to provide clothing after you arrive in Denver.

Household items and personal items  

IRC provides basic household and personal hygiene items. These items are donated by community members or purchased new using your welcome money.
