IRC San Diego offers a variety of programs and services to assist recent immigrants with accessing healthcare and improving their safety and wellbeing.
All Reception & Placement (R&P) program clients are assisted with their healthcare insurance (MediCal) applications within 5 days of arrival. We can also help you choose a provider and will educate you on how to make appointments and choose or change your primary care physician (doctor).

The Women's Resilience Center (WRC) is a safe, collaborative space where the diverse needs of all women and girls are respected. At the WRC, women and girls can share and obtain information about their rights, inherent potential for safety, health, education, economic wellbeing, and power.

Access to Healthcare services are primarily provided to clients who traveled to the U.S. under the U.S. State Department's Reception and Placement program on flights organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and who were assigned to the IRC as their resettlement agency. Some clients who arrived in the U.S. by other means may also be eligible.
