Health Empowerment Services in Seattle

At IRC, we are dedicated to providing equitable and inclusive support for clients of all backgrounds and needs. Our services are tailored to address the challenges faced by individuals with physical and mental health concerns, disabilities, and especially for newly arrived families. Through a compassionate, client-centered approach, we strive to foster an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Services

  • Navigating the healthcare system: Medical case management services for clients facing complex medical challenges, primary care provider (PCP) setup, scheduling urgent medical appointments, referring to medical specialists, and arranging Refugee Health Screenings.
  • Navigating public benefits: Assisting in Food Stamps, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), RCA (Refugee Cash Assistance), Medicaid, SSI, and SSDI applications.
  • Housing: Connecting eligible clients to available housing resources and providing rental assistance through HSS and the IRC ICM fund.
  • Navigating the Education System: School-aged children's school enrollment, English language classes registration, etc.
  • Navigating the Transportation system: Scheduling the medical transportation (Hope link) available through health insurance.


What to Expect: We offer comprehensive medical case management services for 12 months for eligible clients.

We accept walk-in clients for eligibility intake interviews on Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the IRC SeaTac office, 1200 S 192nd St, SeaTac, WA 98148
