Welcome to the Greater Seattle Area! 

The city of Seattle is the largest in the state of Washington, and is surrounded by many vibrant communities that make up the Greater Seattle Area. From Tacoma to Renton, to Kent and Tukwila, the many cities and towns that sit along the waters of the Puget Sound of Washington make up an area of the Pacific Northwest known for its natural beauty and diverse culture. 

These vibrant communities have many opportunities for work, outdoor recreation, and enjoying the arts. This area of Washington is famous for landmarks like the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, as well as the bustling ports on the Sound. The Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area is known as being the birthplace of major companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Boeing, and Starbucks.

 

The Greater Seattle Area Climate and Weather

This area has a temperate climate which means it experiences warm summer and mild winters. It is known for its rain and clouds. Snow is a rare occurrence. The summers are beautiful, with clear skies and long days.
