Adjusting to life in the U.S. can be particularly challenging for families with school age children. IRC can help youth succeed in their local school system and provide opportunities for families to get more involved with their communities.

Find Support for Parents and Youth

Most IRC offices have programs to help parents and their children learn about and adjust to life and education in their new community.  

Options may include:  

  • Assistance with enrolling your children in school
  • After school and summer activities for school-age children
  • Participating in community gardens and farmer’s markets
  • Other activities to help you discover your community and become involved with it
